Golla John Prasad, is an officer of 1986 batch of Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS). He is a post graduate in Political Science from Central University of Hyderabad. Presently, he is posted as Principal Chief Commercial Manager, South Central Railway, Secunderabad.

He worked at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Nanded, Guntakal, Vijayawada, Chennai etc in various capacities in Operations and Commercial assignments of Railways. His previous assignments include Chief General Manager, CONCOR, Southern Region, Chennai; Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, Southern Railway, Chennai; Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad & Secunderabad Divisions; Chief Commercial Manager (Catering & Passenger & Freight Services), and Chief Traffic Planning Manager, South Central Railway. Previous to this posting he was working as Principal Chief Operations Manager, South Western Railway, Hubballi.

He had attended the following international programmes.
- Operational Management Programme in Germany for one year.
- Multi-modal logistics module at Port of Antwerp & Italy for a two-weeks.
